The ACP Story
I often get asked about how and why Aggregate Capital Partners, LLC (ACP) began. So, what follows is our story thus far. ACP really got started while upon the graduation stage at Babson College in 1998. At that moment, renowned Professor of Entrepreneurship Jeffrey Timmons stopped me as I received my M.B.A. diploma. He told me that my new venture development course work, under the Aggregate Capital Partners pseudonym, was among the finest he had ever seen and that I really ought to do “this entrepreneurial stuff” for a living. Great advice. By the time I reached the end of the graduation stage, I had resolved to abandon my Internet era plans in Boston and return to Vermont as an entrepreneur.
From the start, Aggregate Capital Partners has been committed to forming successful new companies, commercializing promising technologies and working hand-in-hand with entrepreneurs and executives in solving complex organizational and business problems. In some ways, ACP has evolved and succeeded as the for-profit version of the problem solving activities I performed while serving as Vermont’s Deputy Commissioner of Economic Development during the 1990’s.
Today, issues surrounding product and thought innovation, change leadership, efficiency and strategic planning continue to challenge organizations and entrepreneurs alike, regardless of a company’s size or stage. It is within this constant context of change, crisis and opportunity that our clients seek strategic and trusted counsel, innovative thinking, best practice solutions and demonstrated expertise.
“Aggregate” is a special, additive substance that is used to formulate and build foundations using concrete. I like to think of Aggregate Capital Partners as offering a unique additive or special value in order to assist in the new construction (or even a small repair) of a client’s human, organizational and financial foundations.
That’s the Aggregate Capital Partners story thus far.

DAVID
